In this workshop, you will learn the basics about using chalk mineral paints, specifically Dixie Belle Paint products, how to use them (and why they are awesome!), and you will get hands-on experience:
*preparing your piece to paint
*painting with Dixie Belle Paints (intro to layering, blending, and texture)
*wet and dry distressing
*using colored waxes and glazes
*sealing
*an overview of tools and how to care for brushes
...and LOTS more!
You will work with the paints in class and then complete an additional small item (provided) from start to finish.
You will go home with knowledge about using mineral chalk paints (and a handy-dandy-handout!), a small project you completed, and confidence to start your own project!
The course has been updated to also include an overview of Chalk Mineral Paint vs. All-in-One Paint (the Silk line) - when to use each based on your project, and how to use the Silk line.
This is tons of fun! Come prepared to play with paint!!
